So glad you found this forum. It really has been a lifesaver. And what a blessing that you're dr is also PCOS!

Well to answer your question.. Yes! Its very possible. As you indicated, timing is everything! You can ovulate consistently month after month but if the sperm is not there waiting for the eggie.. it's not going to do any good. It's a good thing you have idea of when you possibly did ovulate. I know for me when I got pregnant with my son, it took one round of clomid and timed intercourse..

This time around.. It took 3 rounds of clomid before I got pregnant. I figured out that I usually ovulate between cycle days 15 and 16 so I began having intercourse every other day from cycle day 12 thru 20 just to make sure I cover my bases both before and after ovulation.. Lo and behold.. I did get my positive pregnancy test!

You will too.. Figure out a game plan that works well for your ovulation.. usually try to have sex BEFORE ovulation this way the sperm is there waiting.. Sperm can live inside friendly cervical fluid ina womans body for up to 5 days whereas the egg is only viable for 24 hours after ovulation so it's sooo important to have the sperm there waiting.

also.. clomid tends to dry your cervical fluid, in some cases almost make it hostile which is impossible for sperm to travel thru. Alot of women on this board, myself included take the generic form of robitussin 'tussin' 2 tablespoons per day starting from the last day of your clomid pill up to ovulation... this loosens up all the cervical mucus and creates the egg whity kind you need to help sperm travel faster. Be sure to drink LOTS of water b.c it will only loosen up the mucus your body already makes.

Others have tried mucinex.. i'm not sure about that b/c i've never tried it but you might want to ask around..
Dont give up hope.. you will acheive your pregnancy! :-)
