Yes, you CAN be hyper AND hypo at the same time (well back and forth).

First of all yes, you should be grateful your doctor acknowledges that 3.08 is still a bit high. Most doctors let people flounder.

Secondly, armour is a natural pill with the make of if pig hormone. It is safe. At worst you'll feel hyper for a day and you can quit.

It's a misnomer that to be hypo you must feel this and this and this. MANY hypo people have what people would consider hyper symptoms. (Oprah thinks she went hyper but us thyroid patients think duh hashimoto's). You can feel anxious, sleepless, be thin, mind racing and all while being hypothyroid.

There is the autoimmune version of hypothyroidism called Hashimoto's hypothyroidism. With this your numbers will bounce around. What this does is your body is attacking your thyroid until eventually it kills it but in the meantime you get to go on a ride up bouncing numbers.

Along with all the hormone stuff you could be having adrenal/cortisol problems.

I have also been reading that PCOS causes feelings of hypoglycemia. I know that at times I KNOW I am not starving or I FEEL full but I still feel hungry at the same time. If I don't eat every 2 hours I get shakey and sick. I don't have these answers for myself right now.

So yes, your goal might be under 3.0 normally and under 2.0 if you are trying to have a child.

Also the "pig thyroid" is considered the "natural" form and it will show fast results and if you don't like it it will get out of your system fast. So please don't be afraid of it. Cut the pill in half and try a little. It won't hurt you and if you don't feel good on it quit.
