Hi..
i think i relate to many of you...i am 5'7 and my weight fluctuates somewhere between 140 and 145lb...i do have a problem around the waist and it increased after my c-section...all this i could cope with until i discovered yest that i was IR. i guess somewhere deep i knew i had it, but i had tested myself many times b4 and my blood sugar would always be in range...even when i was pregnant...anyways...i just find it so not fair that i have to live the rest of my life deprived of many foods i love because i am IR and not even slightly overweight...i do exercise...usually between 3 to 5 days a week for 90 min and that has contributed to flattering my shape but it is not flattening anything!!...m not losing weight and my tummy buldge does not move unless i go completely with no food for days on a row...anyways..my gyno said i should not eat any carbs for lunch and only salad for dinner...again...another problem...i have a family to feed so i cant cook 2 meals everyday and i cant go for only salad in the evening i would still be hungry!!...he said he will prescribe met but is still waiting for more test results to decide on that (thyroid....)...has anyone who had IR been able to reverse it? on which diet? should all carbs be really and completely out of range for IR patients? and how long is an IR patient usually put on met? do u have to take it all ur life??? m really sad coz i used to consider myself very healthy but with a case (of PCO) and now i feel like m so close to being diabetic if m not careful...
