Yes, Metformin can make you dizzy and give vertigo. I've been on it and off it 3 times and each time I am on it, I get dizzy. My endo told me after I hit the floor for 3 days that dizziness is not a side effect of Met, but my MD argued that and said it's very possible and to LISTEN to our bodies. So I went off the met from his recommendation and the dizziness lessened by 90%. He also checked that it was no blood sugar. I fell off the exam table right in front of him and he caught me and tested my blood sugar asap and it was fine. So, no it's not blood sugar and if you get the blow off I think its beacuse the Dr's don't have many choices in treatment. They have to give you something and they want you coming back too. It's a business. This 3rd time on Met, I am dizzy - alot. But I just accept it now. |
