Default No carbs?

Can anyone help? I'm very confused.

I was diagnosed with Type II in March and my doctor told me not to eat any sugar

He'd already told me to "watch my carbs" (whatever that means precisely) and now reinforced the message by telling me not to eat any carbs re PCOS and succeeding with the elusive weight loss

Last week scan results revealed fatty liver and a gallstone - Doctor's advice? Don't eat any fats

Today, I sat in a hospital waiting room next to a poster advising Diabetics should base all meals around carbs

In summary, the conflict in my head is I'm diabetic so should eat carbs at every snack/meal yet I've been instructed not to eat carbs at all - what's the answer ?

I don't see a dietician until next week and meanwhile I'm feeling quite poorly on fruit, vegetables and fish alone, I'm past hunger, just weak and dizzy.

Any suggestions at all please ?

Many thanks in advance
