I just went through testing to determine that I've "crossed the line" into Type II Diabetes.

I've been IR for years and years. Was an insulin diabetic while pregnant w/ our son.

The endocrinologist took me off my Metformin for two weeks prior to the test. She didn't want it masking anything that could be underlying.

Did the GTT -- felt similarly to the OP of this thread. I knew that it wasn't going to be good.

The Dr. feels I've definitely crossed the line. So I've got to get busy and exercise more, and try to eat better. Switched two 1000mg of metformin twice a day. Maybe it'll be enough.
