I was diagnosed with IBS several years back. In my journey to find out why I couldn't conceive, my gyn did a lap. Discovered endo lesions on my bowel and my bladder. He lasered them off. I have not had a single IBS symptom since. In discussing this with him after the surgery, he said it is very common that women be misdiagnosed as having IBS when in fact they have endo lesions affecting their bowels.
