hmp. Planned parenthood. Hmmp. My experience with them is sour. I was a student, no income, so my visit was free. They work fees on a sliding scale. I was given a quick pap, and then discussed birth control. And this is when they went wrong in my case. Instead of the pill I'd used successfully for 2 years, they pushed the newest, latest, greatest on me, and refused me my pill, which was depo-provera at the time. IMO that gave me PCOS and now I'm here. I felt they weren't listening to me and didn't even care about the side effects for teenagers--already complaints against the FDA, etc. So WRONG! I have never been back and never will go back either. Luckily, we have insurance now.
Maybe it depends on your Planned Parenthood. This one was in a very urban, innercity area where multiple STD and 5 kids are nothing new.
My advice is: do your research, and don't back down on the treatment or drugs you want prescribed.
