I'm really glad that I found this thread.

I'm just starting to contemplate my journey or path.

As the PP, I was also raised in a strict Christian home. About 6 years ago, I started asking questions about my faith and beliefs that I was brought up with. I was met with so much resistance from my family that I literally had to move into a secured building where people had to be "buzzed" in to see me. It helped alot with the "surprise, we're here to save you" visits. So, eventually, after coming to terms with alot of "holes" about my previous faith, I've been wondering without any belief for 5 years. For those of you that may have done this, I was surprised at how hard this was. So, I started researching. Everything I researched led back to earth centered religions. I finally bit the bullet and decided to really do some research and find out more about which path is right for me. I talked to my husband about it (a Christian) and at first I could tell he was worried. Now he seems to be very accepting of my books lying around. He even picked up one to thumb through it. My family is still very strict Pentecostal and don't even like to hear about my liberal political views, so I don't even bring up religion. One day, I know I may have to, but for now I'm using my energy in finding out my own way.

So, this is where I'm starting. I picked up two books. Both are by the authors Joyce and River Higgenbotham.

Paganism- an introduction to earth centered religions

and

Paganism- Spirituality a guide to self transformation/journey/something like that. lol

Sorry about the long post. Just thought I'd share my story and thank others for sharing theirs.

I'm so glad that I found this thread!
