UGH I'm Bajan and rice is my down fall. I love it I could eat it everyday...several times a day.
The best thing that I can suggest besides cutting back how many times a week you have have it, cut your portions down and also switch to brown rice.
Eat more lean meats and seafood.
Easy on the oils...and the fried foods...extreme moderation if that doesn't sound silly.
Instead of fried try grilled, or baked...Iknow it doesn't taste quite as good but you'll adjust.
I grill plantian in a George Foreman Grill instead of frying...the ripe ones of course. I boil the green ones...I know I know not as much fun but it can be as tasty use spices and less salt.
