I'm the same as u...my gyno keeps telling me to lose weight...and its so difficult!! I've tried all sorts of diets and go back to my old eating habits like a month down the line! The only diet which has worked for me is a low carb diet! However it makes me sick thinking of it now...all the meat and protein *hint atkins* +_+ Docs keep saying it should be easy for me as I'm a tall 300lb + girl.... it's really hard!! But don't lose faith! The people on this site are so helpful so welcome..

I am far from perfect when it comes to dieting but what I have found is "all sorts of diets" simply dont work! The key for me is a change of lifestyle. Hubby keeps saying we are dieting and I correct him by telling him we are not dieting... this is just our new life! We do not deprive ourselves completely, we still go out to eat once a month, occassionally get ice cream or snacks, but only once a month or so as a TREAT, not a daily part of life. We have good (but healthy and smaller portions) meals, we do not keep unhealthy snacks in the house, we no longer eat fast food (which saves a ton of money too!), use low fat/healthier things when we can, I cook with fat free/calorie free butter, etc... It really does help!!!
It seems like all of the fad diets may work for some people but not as a permanent fix. Eating healthier and exercising is the best option. Now if I can just follow my own advice as I do not exercise near enough!
