Thumbs up

I am in the same boat as you, as I'm starting Yaz and 200mg Spiro to combat sudden severe hair thinning at age 31. I'm only 1 week into it. Saw palmetto helped so it's likely the Spiro will too.

I understand BCP w/ higher doses of estrogen are better for hair loss & regrowth but I'm starting with low dose Yaz for 3-4 mos. so as to (hopefully) avoid a dread shed when moving up to something stronger.

According to Dr. Geoff Redmond, a endocrinologist specializing in hair loss, Yasmin is the most widely used BCP in the US and is effective for hormonally caused hair loss. He also recommends Mircette and Yaz. Good luck and happy regrowth!! (I've noticed mild regrowth on Saw Palmetto and Revivogen since Feb.)
