 PCOS, Lap Band & Metformin
I was recently banded June 9, 2008. However, I have not taken metformin for a month prior to the surgery to the present day. I will admit this was a choice I made on my own which may not be a great one. When you get banded they require you take chewable or liquid vitamins due to the reduction. Therefore, I figured not taking 3 horsepills would be a good idea. My period was due last week and it came in a 30 day cycle. What mainly concerns me is that the flow is little to none in oppose to normal to lots!
My question is...is there anyone out there that is banded and diagnosed with PCOS that takes Metformin? Any feedback, suggestions?
I left a message with my endocrynologist/fertility doctor and I am awaiting their response. (It was a holiday weekend) I will foloow up with them Monday. |
