After 6 months of trying, and asking my OB for meds (she said i didn't need any since my cycles ranged from 35-40 days after stopping the BCP, although I was already dx with PCOS for several yrs and she would not do a hormone checkup, although I knew my testostrone was rising) since I was already DX w PCOS, started on a low carb diet (ate lots of salad, beef patties, whole wheat cereal and bread (moderation), fruits, milk yogurt(probiotics)), had eliminated white sugar, took lots of prenatals, fish oil, flax oil, fertility tea, exercised vigorously on the treadmill and elliptical (600 cal a day 5*a week) despite back problems and pelvic misalignments - probably lost 2 pounds in 4 months (had lost 25 lbs previous yr with less effort on the BCP), quit my stressful job, took a vacation to the florida keys, used pre-seed but realized that didn't need any when reached peak fertility, used lot of ovulation kits, used a pillow for elevation during this time, took cinnamon to reduce testostrone levels, occassionally drank aloe vera and apple cider vinegar for stomach problems. Made an appointment with an endo (had to wait 3 mos for the appt.) and was pregnant and dx with subclinical hypothyroid (missed by my OB for a year) when i finally saw her.

Mentally, I always envisioned myself holding and caring for a baby. I always thought it would happen, but i just didn't know how long it would take.
