I started a vegetarian diet when I was at about 209. It worked wonders. I did start to get sick for a while, so I started eating chicken once a week so I get enough protein. I am now down to 175-180. Obviously my weight changes a bit, but switching to a vegetarian diet is very easy. There are plenty of soy meats made by morningstar farms if you are a meat lover but want to try the veg way.
