Hi everyone, saw this board while researching metformin/clomid and thought it was great that you have threads for the men. My wife and I have been trying for 1.5 years to get pregnant-after coming off b.c. she was not having her regular periods-in fact she only had 4 last year. We tried 2 rounds of clomid and they just didn't stimulate her ovaries enough, so now we've been given metformin and will dose clomid in a few months (just had HSG surgery-all clear). We both have great profiles and healthy lifestyles, and in regards to our bodies we both check out (minus the PCOS of course)-which goes to show that PCOS can affect anybody!
It's been pretty tough on us lately-it seems like all of our friends are having babies left and right. We just went to our nephew's 1st birthday party, and there were some friends their with a 2 year old and an 8 month old that didn't even mean to get pregnant. I could tell my wife wanted to cry after holding the 8 month old-and honestly I kind of got a little depressed and sad myself. I love my wife more than anything, and hope as much as possible that this new prescription does the trick.
