I'm guessing it means your lab results don't fall into the defined range to say diabetic, but they are very very close to being in that range. Most Dr's have programs/classes they can refer diabetics to. I would call and ask if they can set you up with one of the classes or give you more information on what you need to do. It is such a shame that Dr's dump a label of a condition in your lap and then don't tell you how to deal with it, like you are suppose to be psychic and know what steps you need to take. Call the office and ask that someone communicate with you about what prediabetic means for you and how you need to proceed to maintain good health.
