I was successful with Clomid. It took 4 cycles though. Clomid is pretty harsh on the uterine lining and it will dry you out. So make sure you have some Preseed on hand (can order from amazon or Preconceive Plus can be purchased from Walmart). You need the moisture to allow the spermies to get to their destination. These are sperm friendly lubricants.
The cycle I got pregnant, I was taking 50mg clomid, 500mg Metformin XR and 81 mg baby aspirin (baby aspirin was to help the uterine lining become suitable for implantation). The cycle I got pregnant, I had added the baby aspirin and several other ladies who have been taking clomid that I know, got their BFP the cycle they added the baby aspirin.
The only downsides I had to clomid was O pains (strong), headaches and hot flashes.
Be sure to ask your MD about the aspirin first (although, I didn't).
