I've heard over and over from my dr, an infertility specialist, that this describes pcos. My question- is it possible for someone with pcos to shed this abdominal weight? Even before I knew I had pcos I was an extreme athlete. 6-8 workouts in the pool a week that lasted 3-4 hrs long. Weight lifting, ab workouts, cycling, running, and all sorts of other kinds of excercise. I almost made the Olympics in '92. No one can say I was out of shape. It wasn't a problem, but compared to the other people I worked out with I did have more tummy weight. Never really had a tight stomach even with all the workouts. What I'm trying to say is- if you have pcos don't try to kill yourself with excercise and special ab workouts. It's a losing battle.
