To be honest when you're in this situation I don't think anything anyone says will put your mind at rest until your pregnant.
You need to make an appointment with your doctor (or maybe another doctor) and sit down and discuss the condition and how it will impact on trying to conceive. I recommend reading lots on this board, find out information and go armed with it and your questions...only you know what questions you need answered.
If your periods are irregular or absent, I'd suggest your first port of call is to try and get prescribed metformin. If you are having periods regularly (with no more than a 35 day cycle) the chances are you're probably ovulating fine and it's a case of patience.
What I would say though is....DON'T PANIC!!!! There are SO many people here with PCOS who have had successful pregnancies - it's achievable.
