You are most welcome! As for the side effects, I know how long they last vary from person to person. I had horrible nausea for about a month or so, until I got used to eating a certain amount of food, and learning what foods to avoid that would irritate my stomach.
The light-headness and dizziness may be from your blood sugar getting too low? Are you taking the injection, then eating immediately, or taking the injection and waiting a period of time before eating? 3 years ago when Byetta was first introduced, they recommended waiting 1 hour after taking your injection to eat, and I would nearly pass out by the time it was time for me to eat. A few months after, the usage was changed to eating anytime within an hour of taking your injection (so it could be taken and then eat immediately) which helped me immensely with the light-headness.
As far as reflux goes, I had HORRIBLE reflux from the Metformin alone, so I was on 40mgs of Nexium, before beginning Byetta, and it has continued to help. You could start out trying Tums or something, if that doesn't work, maybe give Prilosec OTC a try. If those aren't successful, talk to your doctor about Nexium, Prevacid or something like that, they work wonders!
