We have considered domestic, but where we are all domestic adoptions are open, we are not comfortable with an open adoption, and birth parents can change their mind, I believe they have 3 weeks to do so.....and we would still be responsible for a lot of the costs.
Mainly I just don't feel comfortable with birth parents living in the same city as me, we don't feel comfortable 'sharing' our child.
I am having a hard time finding an agency in Ontario that deals with countries where you can get young children from...with the exception of Russia, which happens to be very expensive.
