I was diagnosed in 2004 (i am now 25) and only in the last couple of months, have i really started looking into PCOS and what causes it etc... sounds slack i know, but when i was diagnosed, the doctor told me 'heaps' about it, so i left there thinking there is nothing i can do for it since there is no cure... he didnt even suggest loosing weight or an eating plan!?! And i couldnt go on the pill because of family history of blood clots! About a year later though, i got sick of pimples and facial hair so got a blood test to see how vunerable i was for blood clots and was then put on Estelle-35. Now though, i want to go the natural way since we are planning for babies soon and cant I dont want to be on the pill forever! I have been given Metformin but will not be starting that till after christmas. |
