Actually, when you get on the pump, you stop the long acting insulin and are placed on only fast acting. It pumps it out in small amounts every so often (like every hour, 1/2 hour etc) and does what a pancreas would do (tries to).
I missed ups with it Wednesday and they didn't try to deliver today so not sure when it is coming.
