I think everyone is different. I was put on the metformin years ago when I was in the states and after 6 months the doctor could see it was doing nothing for me so she took me off it. When I moved over here I then got referred to a fertility specialist who is a pain in the butt and I can't stand him. He refused to listen to my past history and put me on it again and won't change the dosage or anything. He actually acts like he can't be bothered. For me I am starting to go the homeopathic way with herbs and vitamins. Since I started that, I lost 10 pounds and had a period! But again, I wouldn't recommend anyone doing it as this was my own persoanl decision. There are so many women on here and all of them are entirely different though we all have PCOS.
