Honey...you need to find another doctor...like today!! It took me 5 doctors in 5 years to finally be diagnosed. I finally found the doctor who diagnosed me (after two previous laps) and got relief after years of suffering. Yes you are young, but I agree with diamond, you don't want to risk further damage. Being young definately has it's upsides...you heal quicker and you don't run the risk of further damage. My lap when I was diagnosed took place on Friday morning. When I woke up in the recovery room they MADE me take a pain pill before they would release me to go home. I felt so much better. Also, DH (who was DBF at the time) took me to a movie Saturday night! It was an amazing difference. I was 21 when I had this last surgery, so not much older than you are now. Sorry I rambled along here....good luck!
