Default anyone with a wife/girlfriend trying to get pregnant with PCOS?

My wife is th elove of my life and the best thing to happen to me. she was diagnosed with PCOS by a female doctor in Kingston, NY, 12401. I will not name names. This woman told her basically she had it, good luck having kids, and oh yeah, you need to lose weight. Basically at the time, she was devistated, and for th emost part still struggles with it. About 5 months ago we either had a chemical pregnancy or a second miscarriage. The first miscarriage occurred waaay back when we were younger, and she was both on BC and Effexor, which contributes to msicarriages. She in fact had the first one before we had ever heard of PCOS. in any event, the baby clock within asserted authority over her primary functions, and is now in control of her. We're 27, so I'm ready for kids and encourage it. however, we are having a slow goings of it. Basically for the guys and gals out there:

- did any of you have pregnancy tests that did come back positive, but took a long long time to come back as such?

My wife has an irregular period, but even if something is irregular, the owner of it can know what that irregular thing is even more irregular. Right now she should have gotten her period at least 4 days ago, if not more. We use charting technology a la fertilityfriend.com. She has had swollen breasts forever, which is indicative of either her period coming on full-out or that she's pregnant. In fact tons of symptoms mean either a) preganant or B) getting your period soon. It's very frustrating because it could always be either A or B and with everyone's body being different, there's no sure tell. In any event she's tested a few times and two of them have had very faint lines to indicate a positive. On fertility friend lots of gals post pics of pregnancy tests that are 'positive' but by the stars!, they do not look it in the picture. she's already been to the doc once a while ago, during the chem pregnancy/2nd miscarriage/who knows, so wont waste money going until we get a strict positive from at home test. I read all over about these things and I was wondering how much of an issue this has been for others?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I hope she's pregnant, but everycycle she's not she gets a little more discouraged. We dont even know the full extent of her PCOS, but If i had to guess I'd say it's not AS intense as some women's. I just read a lot about vitex and shes read a ton about soy in helping conception so if this time isn't it, then we'll go that route, by right now it is so frustrating not getting a clear hpt answer. We dont want to get our hopes up by these faint lines (and believe me they are there) but we also dont want to give up either. It's just.. it's just a really frustrating place to be. I'm trying to take a more active role in the process so I'm just venting somw thoughts, and appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,
-A
