So confused, low carb or low GI? Hi- I am trying to get this whole IR diet down (not IR but on Metformin and was told by my doctor to try and follow IR diet.) I am now confused b/c it appears that some foods that I thought were safe, like whole wheat bread, are actually not that low GI, and that foods I thought I couldn't have at all, like chocolate, are actually low GI! So I am totally confused. Am I supposed to be counting carbs or sticking to GI diet? I really want to know what I can eat this Christmas!
