I take Riomet. I also had lapband surgery (in 2004) and have a hard time swallowing large pills. Finding met pills in a BM is actually normal, believe it or not. My mom is a pharmaceutical sales rep and she asked one of her customers about it. The pills are called a wax matrix. The medicine is in the wax matrix kinda like water in a sponge. What is passed in a BM is the "sponge" and the "water" is the met that is absorbed into your system. Back to Riomet, I take it, but I absolutely despise it! It tastes horrible, the side effects are 10 times worse that taking the pills, at least for me. Also, it is expensive! My copay with my insurance was $50 because it is a tier 3 drug. My pharmacy had to order it, but they had it the next day, so they didn't have any trouble getting it. I recently lost my insurance and my mom checked with one of her customers and for us to buy it from him at his cost it was $175 for one bottle (a months supply) so needless to say, when I finish the bottle I have, I will have to stop taking it.
