We didn't have any issues with the physicals. It's mainly just to show that you're healthy enough to raise children. I don't remember my DR even mentioning the PCOS. When I listed my medications, they noted the metformin and BP medicine and wanted to know why I took it. Not really a big deal.
They want to make sure you're going to be able to keep up with the children in your care and not have health problems that will interfere with that.
It is most likely that your DR will state that you're healthy enough to care for children.
Granted, we went the Foster Care adopt route. International adoptions have additional rules per country. I'm sure domestic adoption agencies have guidelines as well (probably along similar lines as foster care though).
