Splenda makes a brown sugar substitute that is 1/2 Splenda and 1/2 brown sugar... and you only use 1/2 for what the recipe calls for. It isn't the greatest for us, but at least you are only getting 1/4 of the sugar intake. I haven't been able to find any other brown sugar substitutes, but I know they are out there somewhere.

Oh yeah, duh! Oats. Maybe sprinkle a teaspoon of that splenda brown sugar with my apples and cinnamon, and then sprinkle oats over the top, unprocessed though (low GI that way). I guess I could also add slivers of my fake margarine over the top to 'crisp' it. Any suggestions other than that to getting the crispness on top w/o the fat in margarine/butter?
