I´m sooo excited that I just cannot contain myself. We were just informed by the adoption agency that we have been officially accepted!!!!
The agency said we are at the top of their list and assured us that by the end of 2009 we will be parents. (We are doing a national adoption in Mexico.) We are now trying to decide whether to adopt siblings or just one to start. We are thinking about one child age 3 or under and if he/she has an older sibling, we would adopt him/her as well. I really want a daughter and DH doesn't care either way. So if we adopt siblings we will adopt either a boy and a girl or two girls!!!!
If we adopt one, we are open to either sex since we would adopt another later on...
Anyway, I just had to share the great news. I´m turning 40 in April and this is the best 40th birthday present I could imagine. Also, April marks five years of TTCing so this is a wonderful way to mark that anniversary as well...
