No, don't worry. I'm really glad that you are having success with Dr. Abae. I was diagnosed back in 1997 and, even though we have done our share of treatments, I was never able to get pregnant. We have gone on with our lives and actually getting pregnant right now would disrupt our plans. We have come to terms with not being able to have children and are actually enjoying our life just the way it is.
He diagnosed the septate uterus with a hysterosalpingogram x-ray (which I had done at Baptist Hospital previously) and also with a vaginal ultrasound. I showed Dr. Stempel (who is not my doctor; I only went to him for the second opinion) my films and records and he said I do not have a septate uterus. You can clearly see on my films that I do not have a septate uterus. The upper wall of my uterus is slightly domed. That's about it. I saw Dr. Abae at his new office on Pine Island, just north of Broward Blvd. He actually gave me a quote for $12500. What did you pay, if you don't mind me asking?
I have since found an Endocrinologist that I love. His name is Dr. Ira Katz and his office is over at Memorial Regional Hospital. I actually work at Memorial Hospital West. I'm a pathology transcriber. He has been extremely thorough and we're working on figuring out the right medication for me. So far so good.
I really do wish you luck and I'm sure all of your dreams will come true.
