I'm not sure where you live, but look into going to a local health department or rural health clinic. In 2006, my husband's company went on strike, and we lost our health insurance. I went to a local rural health clinic that based care (and bloodwork) on your income. That's one of the best ways to get health care, because it's pretty affordable, and you'll be able to get the care you need without breaking the bank.
