eizzil - It's different for each woman. The pain can be unpredictable, or it can be cyclical, or a mix. From what I've been noticing, for many women, the pain starts at ovulation and peeks during af - but again, it could come and go at different times. It could seem like it's taking a pattern for a few months, and then become sporadic again, etc. I think you should talk to your doctor if you are concerned over the pain/heaviness of your flow.
