When I didn't have health insurance and was dx with PCOS, I decided to go the natural route. I have never taken any medication, still, and have had a regulated period for 18 mos. now. I do a Low Glycemic diet, I am not sure if you have any weight to loose. It's great to loose weight, be healthy in general, control all symptoms of PCOS, have a normal cycle every month, ovulation, etc.
I got extremely creative, knowing that I didn't have money to do all that I wanted and it worked out extremely well. It forced me to do research, more then most I'm sure. Because most people rely on medications, and from what I hear it doesn't do nearly what a Low Glycemic diet did for me. My doctor said if he didn't know I had PCOS, he would never know now.
Research that avenue, if your willing to do that and go that route. It's a great way of eating, I absolutely LOVE it!
