Yes. You need to be monitored when you're taking these meds. Whether you have full monitoring with ultrasounds and blood work or just blood work at the end of the cycle to determine whether or not you ovulated will be something your and your doctor will discuss and decide. Since every woman reacts differently to these drugs, it's in the best interest of your health to take every precaution.

As to the effect of back to back to back Clomid cycles, I explained a little farther up in the thread why it's sometimes a problem. Clomid doesn't clear the body very quickly and often leads to poor uterine linings and dry cervical mucus. What a ridiculous side effect, right?
