All kinds of things can affect your need for and production of thyroxine. If you still have your thyroid gland, you still make some. Even with your gland suppressed with medication, the body tries to pump out more hormone if levels fall short. Have you been sick or intensified your exercise routine? Your body might be trying to keep up with demand for thyroxine. Or, the thyroid gland itself may be in decline again so even less thyroxine can be made, regardless of demand. That would mean you need to take in more of the medicine to make up the difference. Definitely see your dr. and work up to the right dose. I've had my dosages changed about 4x's in 8 or 9 yrs.
