I'm glad you finally found someone to listen and start treating the PCOS. I've had a sensitive stomach all my life, but I never really related the two. I know my stomach issues are lessened when my weight is down. I would say if you are overweight, get more excersize and eat LOTS of veggies and drink lots of water for the stomach problems. Have you thought about allergies to something you are eating?
Ever since I started having periods I knew something was wrong with me, but too embarrassed to see anyone about it. In my mid 20's I saw my family dr. about infertility concerns and she sent me to a specialist and was finally diagnosed. I was on bcp for the longest time and over the long term they really helped the symptoms. I have recently ttc with my husband, so I went off bcp and the symptoms came back with a vengance. I gained 15 lbs in three months, not doing anything different. I have normal blood sugar, and all normal hormone levels except very high testosterone. I'm now on metformin and sprinolactone. It's only been a couple weeks and they do upset my stomach a bit, but as long as I eat with the medication its a bit better. I'm starting to get used to it. Make sure you take your medication with food. Hope something here helped, and keep up the good fight! |
