Because of adam and eve's sin, we inherited sickness thus, we all get sick and die. Roman 5:12 One good example is in reading Job, starting at chapter 1. Satan used sickness to break Job's integrity to god. Job 2:6,7 Even his friends accused him of doing something against god to be punished in such a way, but that was not true.
A familiar scripture, John 3:15 says, God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son." A perfect man died to relieve the sin of the perfect man Adam. Therefore, we have a chance due to this ransom sacrifice.
One major scripture that backs this up is "With eveil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone." James 1:13
