Excited! New way to deal w/ dark skin patches I have acanthosis nigricans (since I was about 9 or 10 I've had it in my inner thighs mostly, but as an adult random other patches). I have melasma ("pregnancy patch" on my face, though I've never been pregnant).
I've also had the acanthosis nigricans on my eyelids who whole adult life. It looks like I"m always wearing brown eye shadow. I hate this the most because of course it's totally visible, and I've always felt it darkens my face and makes me look tired and older.
So I was SO excited when I received some samples of some new Neutrogena makeup (on sale this week at CVS, too!). I am a Buzz Agent and occasionally get new product samples. This is a dream come true! I've always been afraid to wear a concealer on my eyes because I wear contact lenses and have sensitive eyes. But this Neutrogena eye makeup set (I used the color "Tea Biscuit" -- my skin is fair/medium) has a "base". I think you're meant to use the colors on top of it, but when I put the base on my eyelids it blends right to my natural skin color and the darkness is completely gone! My face looks brighter and happier. I wore it all night with contact lenses, and no problem! I came home and it had still covered.
I don't know how many of you have the AN on or near your eyes, but this is the best thing I've found. |
