My dermatologist prescribed it this afternoon. Tonight will be my first use, and I am a little freaked out about it. Apparently for the first month I might experience redness (AGH, already have that problem!) and the first 2-4 weeks my acne will probably get worse (!!!). I guess if it works for the long-term I will go with it, but I am not looking forward to the first month.
Tretinoin the generic of sub retin-A 0.025%, so you might be using a different brand, but same medication. What are your experiences?
Oh, and I was using Proactive Jan/Feb. It worked like a charm at first, but then I started getting oily and red again. I'll have to cancel my next shipment
Now I am trying J&J Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash and following that up with Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer (+ applying the Tretinoin at night)
