I am so sorry that you have been through so much! I too knew that there was something wrong with me at an early age and got the whole story about irregular periods being normal when you are young. Although I have not gone through so many losses as you have , I have gone through one. I felt the same about giving up and about me not being able to get pregnant being a sign that I was not meant to be a mother. With the support of my husband as well we went to see a fertility doctor that was very honest and said that it may be a hard and long road to have a baby, but we would try all that we could to work with the PCOS. He also said that we probably wouldn't have been able to concieve and carry to term on our own. So with the help of medication and failed attempts at fertility meds, we finally got our miracle through IVF. Because of the PCOS I had to take progesterone injections daily in the begining of the pregnancy to make sure I didn't misscarry again- which is probably why a lot of PCOS women do , because the progesterone is low. I also took metformin to help with insulin resistance so that, that woudn't effect implantation. I just wanted to share my story to let you know that if you are willing to try and work with modern medicine, even though you have had so many losses there is lots they can do early on to try to prevent them like taking progeterone and or metformin. That maybe all that you need to help carry a baby to term. If you are determined and have faith in medicine and god, and find a good Doctor chances are you WILL be successful . Unfortunately with PCOS we have to take the long and hard road, but it will all be worth it when you get to hold your baby in your arms!!!
