Thanks so much for the message, really useful to know that I may still be able to have children, that's been the main concern really. My hubby to be and I are now both considering trying to concieve now rather than wait but if there's no rush, i.e. it doesn't get worse with time then we can still concentrate on enjoying our wedding and being married for a while before trying.
Did you try the low GI and avoid wheat/dairy because of weight related issues or to avoid the risk of diabetes? Only luckily I'm quite slim and I don't really have a problem with the weight but I am concerned about diabetes so would like to change my eating habits to minimise any risk of this.
Was anyone else already on the pill when the PCOS was diagnosed? How did it affect you? Everything appeared to be fine until about 6 months ago?! I have now come off the pill (in the last 2/3 weeks) - should I go back on it?
Any suggestions for managing it? Is it just diet and contraceptive pill or is there anything else I can be doing to increase my fertility for the future? Any particular vitamins or herbal remedies? Any forms of exercise to avoid/encourage?
Thanks girlies
xxx
