My TSH was 2.9 I felt like crap. Wasnt sure if it was the thyroid or PCOS my endo (despite my having hashi's and three nodules) did nothing except biopsy the nodules every 6 months.
I went to a new endo, he feels that for fertility purposes TSH has to be below 2.5 (some endos actually think below a 2) and b/c of that and my nodules he put me on Levoxyl (112 mcg). My levels were checked by my GP (who gave me metformin since no one else would) and my TSH level is down to .18 in less than 30 days. I feel FANTASTIC! I have lost weight, the depression is gone, I have energy, I actually want to talk to my friends..........I just woke up one saturday morning two weeks ago and felt amazing!
My advice, arm yourself with as much info as you can, and keep looking for a doctor that will work with you. Everyone is different and one person who feels good at a "normal" 1.5 may feel like crap at a "normal" 2.0. |
