Hi Kate, weight you carry around your thighs and bottom is considered normal for (a lot of) women I believe. This creates the pear shape that is thought to be healthier than the apple shape where you carry your fat around your stomach. If you want to lose fat, the best way to do this is by exercising, not dieting. By dieting you may lose weight but that doesn't necessarily has to be fat, and that's what you want to get rid of!
