Good Book! I got this book at my local library ( I like to check out a book before I shell out cash to buy it). I think that I will add it to collection. This book really explains in detail what "eating right" for IR is. Basically, eat fewer than 30 gms of carbs in any 2-3 hr period, and ALWAYS combine it with at least 14 gms of protein. Following this simple rule has helped me beat the doll drums that I used to get every afternoon. It used to be so bad that I'd fall asleep at my computer at work. I've only been following this eating method for about 10 days, but I really like it so far. The book also says that there are no "forbidden foods." Just link-and-balance according to what you want to eat, and keep "junk-foods" to a minimum. Good book. |
