 Flaky/redness...what is this?
I have flakiness/redness around my mouth and chin that has been getting progressively worse over the last year. I'm 29, and I haven't been diagnosed PCOS, but I do have hairloss and symptoms of high androgens. No skin problems except for acne and this mystery issue...which I'd like to get figured out!
It seems to get worse after eating, particularly after eating sandwiches (weird, I know!) which made me think it might be a food allergy. But I'm not sure. It started out as a very small patch of skin that would flare up and get flaky/scaly in the morning...but then it SPREAD, and now it's really bad!
I've looked into all sorts of things: Candida, gluten/wheat allergy...anybody else ever SEEN anything like this?
I am on Yasmin and just started it 6 mos. ago. Can't say there's a correlation there, but the problem has gotten worse in recent months.
any ideas? Help please!! |
