Thanks for the replies.

So a little update and further info.

I did exercise throughout the weightloss period, focusing more on strength training so that I could maintain as much lean mass as possible. It is not possible to maintain all of the lean mass with this radical of weight loss so I was just trying to minimize the lean mass loss. My BF percentage has went from 45% to 29%. I haven't been able to handle a lot of cardio due to low blood pressure. After my BP went down to 90 over 50, along with a resting pulse of about 45, I was put on drugs to bring up the BP. I have a lot more energy now and have been working out harder at the gym. I am trying to bring my BF down to 24%.

I saw a gyn/endo here who specializes in PCOS. He doesn't want to call it PCOS. I have raised endrogens, am anovulatory, facial hair, enlarged polycystic ovaries, so pretty much outline the list of PCOS criteria, no matter whose list you look on. I do not have IR or impaired glucose tolerance, so he will not recommend metformin. He mentioned my leptin being really high, which he explained to be the little devil who sits on your shoulder and tells you to eat. He tells me to keep doing strength training. He wants to treat the infertility, but otherwise says there is nothing to treat because I am not at risk of diabetes or heart disease. He does not believe there is any additional risk of cancer by not having periods. We would like to have a baby, so treating the infertility is fine, but I was hoping to fix the PCOS and then the infertility would work itself out. This is why I have worked so hard to change my lifestyle, including having WLS.

Sorry for the semi vent. I am just at a bit of a loss now that I am basically told there is nothing that can fix this. Before I lost the weight, I at least had the hope that if I lost the weight the problems would be gone.
