That is so unfair. I worked at a daycare and there was always some kind of drama going around. A lot of things that could also get people fired and lets just say I was alone dealing with a lot of little kids by myself. I got fired the first time bc I wasnt mean enough and the kids wouldnt listen to me. These were 4 year olds. Then I got called back and begged back to come as someone left and it was with the younger kids the 2 year olds. I fell in love with them and while I couldnt stand what actually went on there I kept working there for the kids. The boss never liked me as I was the only one who didnt kiss her feet and azz and because I actually brought up safety and health issues and everyone else kept their mouth shut. In the end I wrote my letter of resenation and the director begged me to stay. I was offered a nanny position and due to the money and stress I had to take it. I ended up feeling so bad for the kids at this daycare I gave it up and stayed with them. A few days later the director fired me because she heard that I told a parent something about the daycare and it was in my contract I couldnt and pretty much because I had a big mouth. I did confront a parent as the director asked me to as I had to call her because she brought her very sick child in who was lethargic and had massive diareah and a very high fever. You couldnt bring them back the next day but she did and I wasnt there when she brought him in. The same thing happened but this time he was throwing up too so again I had to call her and explain to her she couldnt bring him back tomorrow. She was mad and pissy because she had places to be and I told her she might want to bring him to the Drs with what was going on. What do you know the next day the same crap she brought him in again. I had to have someone else talk to her since it wasnt getting through to her.... It was insane and the kids were crying when I left. I was upset not about leaving that hell hole but about leaving the kids. Its a hard situation to be in. After I was fired I was called again (they cant keep any employees) and offered another position and I denied and then was asked if I would at least sub when people didnt come in. I was like what nerve they have. The director told me no one there liked me bc I brought up health issues and such and was just so plain old cold and mean to me when she fired me. I was in tears and felt so bad for those kids. On the way out she reminded me of the clause about never talking specifics of what happened or I would be getting a call from her lawyer. I was not going to go back to that no matter what and be threatened and watched all the time.
Anyhow sorry to vent too but I know how you feel. I saw plenty of parents complain when their child was in the time out chair or throwing a fit and a person only has 2 arms. Hugs!
